Sideshow M.J. - Doing Laundry A Whole New Way

The above picture is of the newest Marvel Comiquette figure Sideshow Toys is putting out. And the pun is intended there, because so far the two figures they've done look like they're ready to put out. I never considered hand washing laundry to be a sexual act, but boy, that Marry Jane statue sure makes me think differently. Her back has GOT to be killing her in that position.

Once again we won't be carrying this line. While I am sure I could find guys who'd admire it every time they came in, and others who might actually buy this one and the Emma I blogged about before. But we're just not doing it. I won't take part in supporting a line of toys like this in my store.

I'm with you. People should feel comfortable with what they're selling/making money from.

Well, in the defense of MJ, she IS a former professional model. She's probably use to bending into positions like that for longer periods of time than washing some laundry would take.

Not saying EVERY woman could pull that off (wait until you see the Comiquette of Aunt May doing this, while cooking some flapjacks), but I have to give MJ her props where it applys. ;)

As for you choosing not to order it, I support it, since I fully support anyone the right to run their business how they see fit. I guess sometimes it's a GOOD thing to be the boss. :)

Wow.
Women sticking thier asses out AND doing laundry?
The Mary Jane I grew up reading would tell "Tiger" to wash his own stanky Spider uniform!

Did the Marvel marketing department just timewarp back to a time when ANYONE would think this was a good idea? It's almost like they're trying to find the ultimate sales item that will piss off every female comics reader. This one come pretty close, I'll bet...

Typical Marvel crap. But they're not alone. A recent DC Direct Catwoman "figure" (toy or statue- I dunno which) has her creeping around on all fours with her enormous breasts pouring out of her catsuit. I'd like to remind those responsible that these characters were originally intended for and continue to be peddled TO children, as well as women. I hate this kind of thing.
