Sneaks & News!

Here’s that sneak peak of Mythos: X-Men that I promised yesterday, courtesy of Newsarama.com.

Sneak peak of Marvel’s Sentinel Squad O.N.E. along w/ an interview of the comic’s writer, John Layman.

Interesting article on the history of DC Comics, and how their past “Crisis” type stories, which were created to try to gain market share from Marvel Comics, often failed.

Fort Wayne Journal Gazette does a story about Damon Lindelof, the co-creator of the hit TV show, “Lost” and writer of the upcoming “Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk” comic.

POW! Entertainment, has announced that POW! Entertainment acquired the exclusive rights and ownership in perpetuity to the name "Stan Lee," his likeness, brand and signature slogans "Stan Lee Presents," "Excelsior" and "Stan's Soap Box." POW! also acquired most of the intellectual properties created by Stan Lee during the period beginning after his tenure as Marvel's chief creative officer, editor in chief, and publisher and predate POW! Entertainment. The rights are in addition to new properties that are currently being developed by Stan Lee for other major entertainment conglomerates on behalf of POW! Entertainment. The agreements gave POW! Entertainment the rights to licenses and receive royalties from Stan Lee's future and more recent creations that have been emerging in voluminous quantities since Stan Lee's negotiated release from Marvel. Marvel retains the exclusive rights to his former co-creations like Spider-man, The Hulk, Daredevil, X-men, Fantastic Four and other Stan Lee originals while at Marvel.

DC Named “Publisher of the Year” by Wizard Magazine. Click here for that and other “…Of The Year” details.

Cyborg will be the next DC/Teen Titans character to make a visit to Smallville. He will be in an episode during February sweeps. I have also heard that the Brainac actor has signed on for more episodes!

These could be the last 3 episodes of the Teen Titans, GO! Cartoon:
"Calling All Titans" on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m
"Titans Together" on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8 p.m.
"Things Change" on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m.
I must admit that I did not watch this last season at all. However, we get a lot of children/families of children in here who watch the show and want the comics. So, when the new shows are done, I hope they continue it in re-runs. Otherwise, we could continue to grow a generation of children who have NO INTEREST in comics!
Despite the impending doom of the show, they have announced another set of action figures.

Since Marvel’s firs game, “Superhero Showdown” was such a failure, they have taken a stab at a dice game, “Battle Dice.” It combines dice and mini figures of characters like Spider-Man, X-Men and Daredevil. Players then create armies and roll dice to battle.

"Underworld: Evolution" is set to hit the big screen in January of ’06. Underworld: Evolution features two new creatures: the winged vampire Marcus (Tony Curran) and a souped-up version of the vampire-Lycan hybrid Michael, played by Scott Speedman, who was introduced at the end of the first movie. This is a follow-up of the 2002 movie, and I have heard it is very good. If you liked the first one, you might want to re-view it and then go see this new one in January.
