So, it appears that Grant Morrison is running behind. Well, I'm blaming him at least. He did a Batman story arc and then took a short break - only now his break has just gotten longer, 4 issues longer, to be exact. Now, I like Morrison's work, just like I also like Jim Lee's and Joe Quesada's work - but if you are doing and can't make a deadline, just say NO! Although I would rather have someone else continue with fill-in issues on Batman rather than have the book on hold for 3 months while Morrison catches up - so congrats on that, DC.

Writer Grant Morrison returns in February with BATMAN #663 (DEC060180), illustrated by guest artist John Van Fleet. In this issue, the Joker makes his triumphant return to Gotham City to take revenge on Batman! I'm pretty sure that DC said some time ago that the fill in arc was to let Andy catch up. Notice also that the first issue of Grant's new arc has a guest artist.
Good to know. Although they weren't referring to it as Andy's run, DC was calling it Grant's run. Either way, I'd rather have DC use fill-ins to keep the book on time than have things held up because artists can't get their stuff done on time.
