Marvel Heroscape

Anyone who has read this blog lately knows that I'm not a fan of Hasbro. The company is horrible to work with as a small retailer for a variety of reasons.

Anyone who has been in our store knows that we don't carry the game Heroscape. The main reason - it's made by Hasbro. That means that you can find it, cheap, in just about any Toys R Us, Target or Wal-Mart. We can't compete in price and we're usually not the first place the average person goes to to shop - meaning that rarely do people buy here first what they can find in their local Wal-Mart. So, we have never carried Heroscape. There have been a few people looking for one piece or another for the game, but usually only for pieces that Wal-Mart and Target clearanced out and sold out of months ago that the person missed.

Anyway, they're going to make a Marvel version of the game. We're still debating on buying any. On one hand there's the whole Hasbro issue. But, on the other hand it features Marvel characters, so our customers and other people might actually come into the store to look for the game. We still have a short time to decide on this one, but so far we just can't decide.

The first installment of the Marvel Heroscape will feature:

Super Heroes:

• Captain America

• Incredible Hulk

• Iron Man

• Spider-Man

• Silver Surfer

Super Villains:

• Abomination

• Thanos

• Venom

• Red Skull

• Doctor Doom
