What you've Been Waiting For

Here we are, once again, time for another exciting examination of which comic books have taken longer than 7 weeks between issues. Some are scheduled this way while others are just plain late.

There really aren't a lot of new comics this week. In fact, this is a fairly small week across the board. (Next week I'm sure we'll be slammed - especially since the whole week will be thrown off because of Memorial Day pushing new comic book day to Thursday. Plus it looks like a new Previews will ship, and I think we're due for another Wizard magazine too. So, that's a lot of boxes right there.) So, there also were not a lot of late books, and nothing like last week's list where half of the late comics had gone 6 or more MONTHS between issues.

Two Marvel titles have gone exactly 7 weeks between issues: Iron Man Hypervelocity #5 and Irredeemable Ant-Man #8. Both saw prior issues hit shelves on April 4th.

Two indie titles have gone 8 weeks between issues: Elephantmen #9 (Image) and Futurama Comics #31 (Bong0). The previous issues of these two comics hit shelves on March 28th.

And the two latest of the few new comics this week were also published by Marvel: Captain America #26 (yes, it's been that long since he was killed) and Criminal #6 (Marvel's Icon imprint). I believe both of these were planned with the huge gaps and aren't technically late.

Congratulations to DC, who does have a few comics coming out this week, but managed not to have anything make it to the list.
