What you've Been Waiting For

Is it that time already? I can barely keep track of what day of the week it is, with the holiday stuck in the middle of the week and Craig and I taking alternating days away from the store to work on the house. Actually this IS a day early, but I'm here today and will be at the house tomorrow, so you are getting the weekly installment a day early.

Sometimes there are early comics too, but we're not here to find out about those. We're here to find out what we've all been patiently waiting for. Some are late, some just take a while between issues (although I think this weeks books are all late ones). So, here we go!

Just making this week's May 16th cut is Xombie #3 (Devil's Due). DDP seems to be in some kind of lateness mire lately.

100 Bullets #84 (DC/Vertigo) ran late enough for DC to have it resolicited. The prior issue came out on May 2.

If you were thinking that Superman Confidential was a mini-series that must have ended, or that you missed an issue and your local comic book store sold out, you'd be wrong. Superman Confidential #5 (DC) is finally coming out this week. The previous issue came out back on March 28th. Issue #5 was ordered back in February, so it should have arrived sometime in April.

And the last late comic for the week is Dragonlance Chronicles Vol. 3 #2 (Devil's Due). The first issue came out way back on March 21st and if it keeps up at this pace it should take about 3 years to finish this 12-issue series. We ordered issue #2 back in February, so again it should have been here in April or early May. Another example of DDP's problems getting comics out on time.

Hmmm.... looks like Marvel is back off the hook this week. But, it is a smaller comic book week. Can they keep it up, or will they be back on again next week? You'll have to check back to find out.
