What you've Been Waiting For

Ah yes, it is that time again. Time to look over the Diamond invoice for the week and see what comics have gone longer than 7 weeks between issues. Maybe they're late, maybe not, but either way, you've been waiting a while for them.

This week there weren't too many to report. In fact, about 1/2 of the non-late comics had their previous issues come out THIS MONTH. Action Comics #858 just had the previous issue come out last week.

My cutoff date this week was August 29, and there are two comics coming out this week that had their prior issue come out on that date: Kiss 4K #4 (Platinum Studios) and Forgotten Realms Halfling's Gem #2 (Devil's Due).

Mouse Guard Winter 1152 #2 (Archaia Studios) comes out tomorrow, and the prior issue of that came out back on 8/22.

And finally, the last one of this week, Anita Blake Vampire Hunter First Death #2 (of 2) (Marvel) will finally hit shelves tomorrow. The previous issue of that came out back on July 11. Looks like another casualty of the Marvel/Dabble Brothers debacle.

Big Two Mini-Series Ending

Looks like DC has two mini-series starting with none ending, while Marvel is ending two with no new series starting. But between the two, they've got 5 one-shots for this month. While the mini-series balance out, there are a bunch of one-shots taking up shelf space this week. And for the record, there are no less than 4 comics this week that start out with the word "Countdown."
