Here are samples of a few new books coming out on Wednesday. just click on the title to see samples:
Batman/The Spirit 1-shot in presige format. Written by Jeph Loeb with art by Darwyn Cooke. The American Criminologists are having a convention. Meanwhile Batman's and The Spirit's rogues gallery are also having a convention of their own. Batman and The Spirit must save the day!
Crossing Midnight #1. Written by Mike Carey, Art by Jim Fern and Rob Hunter. This story is set in modern-day Japan, and is something of a fantasyl horror story.
Immortal Iron Fist #1. Written by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction, art by David Aja. If you like the current Daredevil series and/or Criminal you should enjoy this book since Brubaker is writing. Plus, Aja's art looks to be very good. This book will, based upon Marvel's promo materials, discuss the history of Iron Fist Danny Rand. I have not seen any indication that this is a limited series, so I think Marvel is going to give it a shot as an ongoing and see what happens.
Zombies Vs. Robots #1 (0f 2). Written by Chris Ryall, art by Ashley Wood--both of whom have been nominated for Eisner Awards. "It's tech prowess meets undead mayham," publisher IDW says. Robots are the only thing that stands in the way of the zombies eating the last humans - a baby and a clone. (hey, they'd better not seal my Zomibes Vs. Vampires idea! This is pretty close.)
Out of everything we're getting in next week, here's what I'm reading:
52 Week #30
Batman The Spirit
Crossing Midnight #1
Deathblow #2
Immortal Iron Fist #1
Spider-Man Family Featuring Spider-Clan
True Story Swear To God #2
Ultimate Vision #0
maybe I'll check out Zombies Vs. Robots #1, since I don't have a lot on the list. Oh, and it's not new, but I'm excited to check out the Art of Brian Bolland book we're getting in.
