Zombies are Big, no HUGE

It's true. Slap a zombie in something or on something and it will sell. However, not all zombie properties are equal. In my opinion Walking Dead is the best zombie comic book. (yes, there are others) The Marvel Zombies are the most hilarious zombies. Ash (Army of Darkness) is the best movie zombie killer.

Max Brooks, Mel's son, has written a couple of very clever zombie books of his own: Zombie Guide and World War Z. If you have ever read them, you know they're great. If not, get a copy NOW! (we have them in-stock at Neptune Comics, by the way)

What's World War Z? "The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of thirty million souls to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet. He recorded the testimony of men, women, and sometimes children who came face-to-face with the living, or at least the undead, hell of that dreadful time. World War Z is the result. Never before have we had access to a document that so powerfully conveys the depth of fear and horror, and also the ineradicable spirit of resistance, that gripped human society through the plague years."

This book is now in the process of becoming a movie. Straczynski is writing it (he's writing Fantastic Four, Amazing Spider-Man, Bullet Points, all for Marvel, and wrote the sci-fi series Babylon 5). It will be produced by Brat Pitt's production company, Plan B.
