What you've Been Waiting For

Unfortunately not every comic can come out every week, or even every month. Here you can see what we're getting in this week that has taken over a month to hit shelves. Now, keep in mind that not all of these are late - some are set up to take over a month to come out by design. This week's list is fairly short, and there aren't any books that are super duper late this week.

Deathblow #4 (DC) and Anita Blake Vampire Hunter #5 (Marvel) both had the previous issues come out 1/31/07. I am fairly certain that both titles are running late.

Magician's Apprentice #6 (Marvel) and Shrugged #4 (Aspen) both had their previous issues hit shelves o 1/10/07.

Note that both Anita Blake and Magician's Apprentice are Dabbel Brother's books and Marvel recently announced that all of the DB books will be late.

Ultimate Power #4 (Marvel) had it's previous issue come out on 12/28/06. Someone please tell me why ALL comic books that involve the Supreme Power team are always late. Yep, every single one of them fails to come out on time.

Athena Voltair #4 is the comic book with the longest gap between issues this week. This might not be late, as it is a self-published comic. Issue #3 came out 12/6/06. While that might seem like a while, it's not too bad considering the difficulties the creator has had getting it published and the struggles anyone who self-publishes seems to have. Ultimate Power came out only a couple of weeks after this issue, and that comic is published by a major comic book publisher.

What I'm Reading:
52 WEEK #46
AFTER THE CAPE #1 (OF 3)
ANITA BLAKE VH GUILTY PLEASURES #5 (OF 12)
ARMY @ LOVE #1
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ZAREK #3
BIRDS OF PREY #104
BRAVE AND THE BOLD #2
DETECTIVE COMICS #830
HERO BY NIGHT #1 (OF 4)
JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #4
NEWUNIVERSAL #4
SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE #16
SPIRIT #4
WISDOM #4 (OF 6)
X-FACTOR #17

WOW! That's a pretty long list. Thank goodness I'm almost caught up with the last couple of weeks.

Wow...it has really been three months since the last issue of Ultimate Power? I really wasn't paying attention.

Yes, it sure has. Time flies when you're reading other good comics.
