Loners Covers
I had to post a link to this posting on Johanna Draper Carlson's blog: Comics Worth Reading. It seems that the cover artist for Marvel's The Loners is using older movies to either get us to subconsciously buy the comics, or just to deliberately tie in old movies to the comic. Johanna's already done all of the pasting of pictures, so just click here and read her blog.

Why does it have to be subliminal? It's probably just homages. Homage covers are done all the time, but they're usually homages to other comic book covers rather than movie posters. I think it's clever.
Yeah, that's true elayne. They probably are homages. Good call.
