What you've Been Waiting For

Welcome once again to another weekly installment of What You've Been Waiting For. These comics are all coming in this week Wednesday, and have gone longer than a month between issues. Not all are late - some go longer than one month between issues by design. But, let me assure you that some of them are late.

There are a handful of comics coming out this week that had their prior issues come out back on February 28th: Clive Barker's Great and Secret Show #11 (IDW), Conan and the Midnight God #3 (Dark Horse-we ordered in January, so this is probably a bit late), Iron Man #16 (Marvel-we ordered in January, plus I know they had some printer problem and had to go back to press, so this one is definitely late), and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic #14 (Dark Horse-also ordered in January).

Rush City #6 (DC), She-Hulk #17 (Marvel), and Wasteland #8 all had their previous issues come out back on February 21st. We ordered Rush City back in October, and the entire series has run late - glad its over. She Hulk was ordered in January so that's probably a little late. I believe Wasteland is on time or close to it.

Trials of Shazam #6 (DC) had its previous issue come out back on February 14th. We ordered it back in December and I know that issue #5 was late as well. The series is pretty good, and started well, so it's kind of a shame that DC can't get this to come out on time.

Fell #8 (Image) was already solicited at least once, and this resolicitation was ordered back in July 06. The previous issue came out back on February 7th, which isn't too bad when you consider that there was an enormous gap between issues #6 & #7.

We haven't seen an issue of Really Late Superman (or All-Star, if you prefer) since January 4th of this year. Finally issue #7 is coming this week. At first I thought that maybe this was its scheduled date - except that when I checked my DC Comics email it said the original date for this was 12/20/07. See why I call it "Really Late?"

Wolfskin #3 (of 3) (Avatar) had it's last issue come out back on December 28th, 2006. We ordered this #3 issue back in April of 06, so it looks like issue #2 was pretty late as well. Sometimes Avatar can get things out regularly and other times they're pretty off. Very hit-or-miss publisher. I don't know if it's the talent or the publisher or the printer or what, but I do know that these kinds of delays are part of what makes it hard to sell indie comics regularly.

WOW - Fables and Wonder Woman seem to be coming out almost weekly these days. I'm already an issue behind on both. This long list won't help me catch up. Looks like I might have to bring some home to read.
