Rumor has it that the Justice League movie that is supposedly in it's early stages will not be a live-action film. It will instead be a CGI motion capture movie. This type of film making is supposed to be very time consuming, so that might mean this movie won't come out until something like 2010 or 2011.This style is going to be used for this fall's Beowulf movie. I saw the trailer before the Bourn movie and it looked different - like a high quality video game cut screen.
Utilizing this style really makes the line between movies and video games fuzzy. But, the style seems to becoming the new animation. Rotten Tomatoes reports several other movie studios have motion capture movies slated for the near future.
