Free Comic Book Day 2008 - Gold Sponsors

The Official Diamond announcement below (click to enlarge). The gold sponsors for 2008 are: Archie, Bongo, Dark Horse, DC, Dynamite, IDW, Image, Marvel, Virgin and Viz Media. Most of these are pretty typical, but I was surprised to see IDW and Virgin there, since the Gold Sponsors books have to be "all age" acceptable (although this year , weather by accident or on purpose, it was said that the FCBD committee was requiring ALL FCBD books to be "all age.") and IDW and Virgin are not really publishers that come to mind when one thinks of all-age comics. But since IDW just announced a new line of all-age comics, I'd bet they're using FCBD as a major launching point for the line.
