Sneaks & News

Look - its a pic of my dog, Cassie. Why? Because I was testing the digital camera at home, and because its my blog so I can. Anyway, on with the comic talk!

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend and didn't catch pnemonia from standing outside Best Buy on Friday morning, or get stampeeded by crazyed Wal-Mart shoppers. We had a good day here at the store, especially in the morning, but once the snow really started to come down, around 2 pm, it got very quiet. Thanks to everyone who came out, enjoyed the sale prices, and stocked-up!

Here’s a sneak peak of Day Of Vengeance: Infinite Crisis Special by the Day Of Vengeance creative team: writer Bill Willingham, artists Justiniano & Walden Wong and cover artist Walter Simonson. It is scheduled to be on shelves January 4th.

Generation M #1 also looks good. I like the big dragon. It is scheduled to be out on November 30th, and is the first book of a 5-part miniseries.

Check these out – the product line for Superman Returns, to be released in 2006.

Diamond has told Claypool that Soulsearchers, written and co-created by Peter David, will no longer be solicited by Diamond, beginning in April, unless sales can be brought up. Claypool is appealing to retailers and consumers to up their purchases of the titles, noting that if canceled, the move "would wipe out much of Claypool's line."

Those of you who have been reading the Infinite Crisis books know that Blue Beatle was killed by Max Lord. DC recently announced that they will be doing a new, ongoing Blue Beatle comic starting next year. Keith Giffen will be the writer for the series, which is scheduled to debute in spring 2006. For more information, check out the Newsarama interview with Keith Giffen.

It's being reported by numerous sources that Cartoon Network has decided to pass on a sixth season for the animated series, leading to a petition drive to save the show.

Newsarama.com continued their comic book fan’s Gift Guide over the weekend. I had part one on my blog the other day. Here's part 2. Here’s part 3. Both lists have some GREAT suggestions on them!

X-Men fans love Chris Claremont’s work. Now all of you can vote on which X-Men universe he writes about next.

As predicted, the Sin City 2-disk will be released December 13. It’s available for pre-order now through a number of vendors. Check out those extras! WOW!

Soon even the busiest of business men/women can give their pets or children a hug from thousands of miles away.

An interesting plea to get people to spend $1 million on an X-Box 360, but I’m not buying it, even with the Camaro. These Ebay X-Box listings are getting TOO ridiculous!!
