8 Questions of Blazing Death Meme

I've been tagged! I never get tagged, but Heidi - who even though we've never met is a LOT like me - decided to give me a tag on the 8 Questions of Blazing Death Meme.


Here are the rules:
- Each player starts with eight random facts about themselves.
- Those who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight facts and post these rules.
- At the end of the post, choose some people to get tagged and list their names.

Ok, here I go... prepare for shock and awe.

1. My great aunt on my father's side graduated high school with Wladziu Valentino Liberace, otherwise known as Liberace. If you click through the link you'll see he was originally from West Allis, Wisconsin -- my home town.

2. Craig and I met on-line on one of those Internet matching sites. We talked on the phone for three months before I decided he wasn't too crazy, but I still stood him up on our first date, which was scheduled for New Years Eve 1999. According to the web site we were a 98.9% percent match - my next closest was about 82%.

3. Dispite the fact that I'm woman, a fan of comic books, and have a tattoo (wait, that's almost its own item on the list, isn't it), and believe that we really are destroying our environment - I'm a card carrying Republican.

4. I played the flute from 6th grade through college. I really wanted to play the cello, but my school was too small to support strings, so my mom talked me into the flute.

5. I am a huge fan of Irish music and other bits of their culture. I can sing many Irish jigs, although I can't do the cool dance that goes with them. I go to Irish Fest in Milwaukee just about every year. I celebrate St. Pat's in grand style. Craig teases me that I'm an Irish want-to-be.

6. I can't ride a bike. My mom was pretty overprotective when I was growing up so she wouldn't let me near one. I skinned my knee really bad once just running behind my friend while she was was riding her bike.

7. I almost went to Law School. Took the tests, applied, was accepted, but then the guy I was dating at the time got in the way and I never went.

8. My parents are divorced. They got divorced right before their 25th wedding anniversary - and I was 25 at the time - guess you know why they got married in the first place.
