And here it is, another weekly installment of What You've Been Waiting For. In this post I: 1. look at my invoice and see what comics coming in this week have taken longer than 7 weeks between issues (maybe they're late, maybe not, but you've been waiting). 2. Post what mini-series comics by DC and Marvel, the "big two," are starting and ending this week and 3. post a list of what I'm hoping to read this week.

Observe as you look over this list that DC doesn't have anything on the list this week.
My cutoff date this week is August 15th, and there were a couple that made that cutoff date. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #24 (Marvel) is the second part of the One More Day story and it has been a while since we have seen any of this story. GI Joe Storm Shadow #4 (Devil's Due) also comes out this week after a 7 week gap between issues.
There are four comics this week that had their previous issues hit shelves back on August 1st: Clockwork Girl #1 (there was a 0 issue, Arcana); First Born #2 (TopCow); Grimm Fairy Tales #17 (Zenescope Entertainment); and Punisher #51 (Marvel).
Both Gargoyles #6 (SLG) and Star Wars Dark Times #5 (Dark Horse) come out this week, and both saw their prior issues hit shelves back on July 18th. The sad thing, 3 months isn't the longest delay between issues that we've seen for Gargoyles.
Bloodrayne Red Blood Run #2 (Digital Webbing) also hits comic racks on this Wednesday. The last time we saw this one was back on July 11.
People have been asking me for the last few weeks now if Runaways had ended or not. Well, it has not. FINALLY issue #28 of Runaways (Marvel) is coming out. The last time we saw this one was back on July 5. See, this is what putting big names on comics gets you. Lateness! We ordered this back in June.
And the latest of the late comics for this week is Drain #5 (Image), which saw it's previous issue release back on June 13th. This new issue was ordered back in February, which tells me that the previous issues have probably also been late.
This brings me to a quick aside - hey publishers, if I have ordered 3 issues of your comic and not seen a single issue when issue #4 comes due for orders I won't order it. And, I might just hold onto the other issues for returns later. Seriously, if the comic isn't ready to be sold, don't put it in the Previews! I expect to see issue #1 before I order #4 - it's a simple request. OK, done with that. Moving on...

I do seem to recall the Runaways gap was planned, I remember Marvel announcing that there would be a two month gap between 27 and 28, though that announcement may have come *after* they had made the solicitation.
