Book of Lies

Brad Meltzer, mystery novelist, comic book fan boy & occasional comic book writer has a new novel coming out called Book of Lies. Here is a link to the interesting, rather fan boy geared, video promoting it in a kind of mysterious, viral, documentary type way. I'm pasting it into this post too, so you only need to use the link if my embedded video clip isn't working.

The story even has a geek-ish theme, it involves the murder of Michael Siegel, the father of the man who created Superman. "In 1932, Mitchell Siegel was killed by three gunshots to his chest. While mourning, his son dreamed of a bulletproof man and created the world's greatest hero: Superman. And like Cain's murder weapon, the gun used in this unsolved murder has never been found."

You can check out the first chapter here.

There is even a book sound track. When did authors start doing that???? Wierd!

I have read a few of Meltzer's books and enjoyed them. Unless he wants to send me a review copy (feel free to!) I will patiently wait until it comes out in paperback. It sounds interesting enough, and I'm a big mystery fan.

Now, for those of you wondering, yes there was a book called Book of Lies published in 1913 by Aliester Crowley. An unusual thing it is, made up of odd single page chapters. Full of odd bits of obscure mysticism. You can read it here. I think Melter's will be better.
